The Deacons’ Assembly, Living Faith Church, Effurun

Servant Ministry

These Ordained Workers (Deacons/Deaconesses) assist in administering the Holy Communion and lead the congregation in its servant ministry

Church Corporate Officers

Members of the Deacons' Assembly are the pseudo-corporate officers of the church and Living Faith Church affirms this historic, central and distinct ministry.

Care Ministry

These ordained workers exemplify Christian discipleship by visiting the sick and needy in the order of 1 Timothy 3

Soul Winning

Outside the walls of the church, members of the Deacons' Assembly share the good news to the unsaved in word and in their advocacy for the poor, neglected, oppressed and discouraged.

Terms of Reference for the Deacons’ Assembly

Established in all Assemblies in this Commission, the Deacons’ Board, which is the Stewardship Base of the Ministry has the following terms of reference:

Spiritual Leadership

- ensure spiritual leadership and co-ordination of ordained workers (the deacons) in the local assembly

Administrative Policies

- ensure compliance with administrative policies and standards of the church within the Service Groups

Pseudo-Corporate Officers

- oversee effective co-ordination of the activities of service groups in the church

Disciplinary Matters

- responsible for disciplinary matters of deacons and other duties as assigned by the Resident Pasto

The Liberation Mandate

Our Mandate speaks of liberation in all facets of human existence, we focus mainly on destinies that have been afflicted, battered, beaten, tattered, deformed and subsequently in groaning and agonies, as a result of pains, pangs and crying. This is the mandate. Today, testimonies of liberation through our messages, books, tapes, magazines and other periodicals are most humbling. The word of faith is working like fire for the liberation of mankind across the nations.

Yes. A Deaxons; Board is established in all Assemblies in this Commission. They serve as the Stewardship Base of the Ministry

How do I qualify to be ordained a Deacon or Deaconess?

Biblical qualifications for the appointment of deacons are specified in Acts 6:1–6 and 1 Timothy 3:8–13.
